Oban
Oban supports a wide range of shopping and recreational facilities, banks, building societies and professional offices. There are a number of primary schools, a high school and hospital as well as churches of different denominations. It is an expanding town with an attractive sea front and busy harbour.
It is the home of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry service serving the Inner Hebrides and some of the Outer Hebridean islands.
Oban is served by a regular rail service which connects at Crianlarich into the national network and allows travel to Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond
